These Terms are intended to ensure clarity, fairness, and a safe, professional experience for all clients.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and practise in line with HCPC standards and relevant professional guidelines. I am also a member of the British Dietetic Association.

3. Services

I provide specialist dietetic services focused on supporting recovery from eating disorders, disordered eating, and improving your relationship with food.

Services:

  • Are delivered remotely via video consultation using Google Meet

  • Are tailored to the individual

  • Are based on evidence-based practice and professional standards

These services do not replace medical care. You remain responsible for seeking support from your GP or other healthcare professionals where appropriate.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring a suitable, private environment for sessions

  • Having adequate internet access

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information about your health

4. Booking and Payment

Appointments are requested via the contact form on this website.

An appointment is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Booking

A 40% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

The remaining balance must be paid at least 72 hours before your session.

Payment

Payment confirms your booking and reserves your appointment time.

The deposit reflects:

  • Time spent preparing for your session

  • The difficulty of filling cancelled appointments at short notice

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

I understand that plans can change and aim to keep this policy fair and transparent.

More than 72 hours’ notice

  • You may reschedule or cancel your appointment with more than 72 hours’ notice. Your balance (excluding the deposit) will be refunded. The deposit is retained to reflect administrative time and preparation for your appointment.

Less than 72 hours’ notice

  • If the appointment cannot reasonably be reallocated, the full session fee will be retained to reflect the reserved appointment time.

  • If the appointment is successfully rebooked, only the deposit will be retained.

No-shows (no prior notice)

  • If you have not joined within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session will be considered a no-show

  • In this case, the full session fee will be charged

Additional Terms

  • Sessions will end at the scheduled time and cannot be extended if you arrive late

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the session may need to be cancelled and treated as a late cancellation or no-show (as above), depending on whether notice was given

  • Exceptions may be made at the practitioner’s discretion in exceptional circumstances

Please join your session on time to ensure you receive the full benefit of your appointment.

6. Discovery Calls

Discovery calls are offered free of charge and are subject to availability.

  • These may be rescheduled with at least 72 hours’ notice

  • Missed calls may limit future availability

7. Disclaimer

  • Website Content: The information provided on this website is for educational purposes only. It is designed to support your understanding of nutrition but does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Consultations: Individual consultations involve dietetic assessment and dietetic treatment. While this constitutes clinical treatment, it is specifically focused on dietetic and nutritional intervention. It does not replace the medical or psychiatric management provided by your GP, psychiatrist, or other primary healthcare providers.

  • Medical Concerns: You should always seek guidance from your GP or primary care team for overall medical concerns.

  • Outcomes: Recommendations are highly tailored to your clinical needs, but outcomes will vary between individuals.

8. Emergency and Crisis Support

My services are not suitable for individuals requiring urgent or crisis support.

If you are in immediate distress or at risk:

  • Contact your GP

  • Contact emergency services

  • Use appropriate crisis support services

If I believe you require a higher level of care, I may recommend alternative or additional support.

9. Scope of Practice

I practise in line with recognised professional standards and clinical guidelines, including those published by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorders guidance).

Dietetic support may not be appropriate where a higher level of medical or psychiatric care is required. This may include situations where:

  • You are experiencing significant psychological distress without appropriate support from a qualified psychologist, psychological therapist, or psychiatrist

  • Dietary change may increase risk to your safety (for example, worsening suicidal thoughts)

  • You meet clinical “red flag” criteria indicating high medical risk, such as those outlined in MEED guidance (e.g. very low BMI, significant or rapid weight loss, severe cardiovascular indicators, or other markers of medical instability)

  • You are unable to engage in dietary or behavioural changes in a way that can be supported safely in a remote setting

  • Any other physical or psychological indicators suggest that a higher level of care is needed

Examples of MEED “red flag” indicators include:

  • BMI below 13

  • Rapid or significant weight loss (e.g. of 1kg or more2 o per week over 2 or more consecutive weeks)

  • Heart rate below 40 bpm

  • Significant blood pressure abnormalities or postural instability

  • No food and/or fluid intake for 2 or more days

  • Significant electrolyte imbalance or ECG abnormalities

This list is not exhaustive.

Where it is not safe or appropriate to continue, I will discuss this with you and support you in accessing more suitable services.

I reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where clinically necessary to ensure your safety and wellbeing.

You are expected to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your health to support safe care. However, clinical decisions regarding suitability for dietetic support remain my professional responsibility.

10. Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential and conducted in line with professional standards.

Confidential information may only be shared:

  • With your consent

  • Where required by law

  • Where there is a risk to your safety or the safety of others
